We log information about each device connecting to Neontools.io such as IP addresses.
This information is stored on our database and can be associated with the actions you take.

We use cookies to improve our interaction with you and your computer, these cookies allow us to offer a more customized service to you.

Personal data
Every data you choose to voluntarily provide to the Website, either when you sign up for an account, upload images, share information and contents, or post comments on the Website will be stored in our databases. Additionally we automatically collect so-called log information when you use our service. That information includes, among other things:

The personal data collected on the Website is exclusively processed by Neontools (Depixit SARL) to meet the demands of Users accordingly to the law:

If you choose to give us personal data about yourself, the technical information we collect that would otherwise be anonymous can be logged as coming from you. This means, if we are required to disclose our server logs as a result of a legal process, a third party such as your internet provider could match our anonymous technical information with you, using information beyond what is found in our logs and on our servers.  

Connecting a Facebook™ or Instagram™ account
If you choose to connect a Facebook™ or Instagram™ to your Neontools account, the public Facebook™ name, Instagram™ username and a single Facebook™/Instagram™ ID that you choose to share will be stored in our database in order to be able to perform queries to the Facebook™ API. API.

Other third parties
Personal data will not be disclosed or sold to third parties, unless with the User's prior consent or if required by law. If you have entered into and/or won a contest, Neontools or a contest sponsor may publish your name and city of residence.

Hotjar
We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users' needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users' experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don't like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users' behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

Retrieving your data
Each User has the right to (i) access his/her personal data, (ii) ask for a correction where such data is inaccurate or incomplete, and (iii) object to the processing of such data on the basis of compelling legitimate grounds.

Image Privacy
Every image uploaded to Neontools has its own URL, and no matter what your privacy settings are, every image can always be accessed and viewed by anyone who types in that exact URL.


Revisions to the Privacy Policy
We may update our privacy policy from time to time. If we do, we either let you know by publishing the information on our Website or/and on other public blogging services we use, like e.g. Facebook. Sometimes (in case of minor modifications) we will only let you know by reversing the date at the top of the privacy policy.
